- What is a Guaranteed Departure?
Where [GD] appears next to a departure, the Monograms program for that departure date is a "Guaranteed Departure" and therefore is guaranteed to operate.
Programs without the [GD] indicator are still planned to operate, however may be subject to rescheduling. Many factors determine whether a departure becomes guaranteed. Ask your Travel Agent for advice on the best option for you.
PLEASE NOTE: This guarantee does not apply in any situation where the safety of clients is at potential risk (any act of terrorism or war, political unrest, global health warnings or Force Majeure*, etc); or when the operation of a program is not possible for reasons beyond our control (such as industrial action/strikes and operational restrictions).
*Force Majeure: French for "act of God; an inevitable, unpredictable act of nature, not dependent on act of man. Used in insurance contracts to refer to acts of nature such as earthquakes or lightning."
- Are prices based on double occupancy?
Prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a room. Single room supplements and triple room reductions are listed where available.
- What is a single room supplement?
We do not take reservations on a "share" basis for Monograms programs.
Whether you are travelling alone or simply prefer the privacy of your own room, this can be arranged for you with an extra fee. Single supplement prices are listed on the Dates & Prices tab on each itinerary. (Please note: Payment of the single room supplement ensures your own room, not necessarily a twin-bedded room).
- Can we book a triple room?
- Triple rooms are available to three guests travelling together, and wishing to share a room.
Triple rooms are the same size as a twin-bedded room. They will have beds to accommodate three people; however we cannot guarantee that there will be three separate beds. If there are only two beds, a rollaway may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
On occasions, triple room bookings may offer guests a reduction in cost per person. Please contact us for a quote.
- Can children travel with Monograms?
- Yes, children who are less than 18 years old are welcome to travel on a Monograms program, provided they are accompanied by an adult for the duration of the holiday.
There is no minimum age requirement on Monograms programs. Land arrangements for infants under two are free of charge, providing parents pay directly to the hotels for food, crib, etc. Infants sometimes fly free of charge if they do not occupy a seat, while some airlines charge 10%. An airline ticket is always required for the child. Please arrange for this ticket directly with the airline or your travel agent.
For Europe packages, children aged 11 and under receive a 25% discount on the Monograms land package price (not including internal air travel) when sharing accommodation with at least one adult, whilst children aged 12-17 years receive a 10% discount off the Monograms land package price. For South America packages, children aged 2-17 years receive a 10% discount off the Monograms land package price.
- Can I book for a group
If you form your own group, you may be eligible to receive a discount or rebate on the land-only prices (not air-inclusive prices) of your Monograms program.
Please contact your Travel Agent for further details, or contact us for a quote.
- Can I change my mind after booking?
Should you be uncertain what your commitments will be leading up to your departure, Monograms offers a SafetyNet Protection policy* for $75 per person. The $75 SafetyNet Protection must be paid at the time of the tour deposit and is payable per person per booking (not per tour) and is non-refundable.

- Do I need Travel Insurance?
- We strongly recommend that you have a travel insurance policy whilst travelling. It’s important that you protect yourself in case of natural disasters, lost or delayed baggage and unforseen medical expenses.
- Do you accept travellers with special needs and requirements?
Any disability requiring special attention should be reported to Monograms by you or your travel agent at the time the reservation is made. Monograms will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of disabled tour participants, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so, nor is it responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking, dining, and getting on and off motorcoaches and other transportation vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified companion must accompany travellers who need such assistance.
