DUBLIN - 2019

Tour Code - MI 4 days - DUBLIN to DUBLIN From $1217 NZD

Leprechauns and pots of gold at the end of rainbows…you can only find these in Ireland! And no one brings you Ireland—specifically Dublin—like Monograms. On this 4-day Dublin holiday, we've arranged your hotel reservations, sightseeing, and daily breakfast. Plus, a one-of-a-kind feature is the Monograms Local Host®, someone who is there for you throughout your stay to answer questions, offer guidance, and help ensure your holiday runs smoothly and is all you want it to be.

At your hotel, your Local Host will greet you with céad míle fáilte (a hundred-thousand welcomes). In addition to a warm greeting, your Local Host will give you materials to help familiarize you with the city, so you can begin exploring immediately. The next morning, after included breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel for guided sightseeing with a local expert, someone who knows what it is like to live in the city as well as the inside stories and little-known secrets. You will drive past St. Patrick's Cathedral, the largest church in Ireland, and visit the Old Library at Trinity College, where you will see the 1,200-year-old Book of Kells. This famous gospel manuscript dates to the 9th century and is a must-see attraction in Dublin.

You also have a free day to explore Dublin on your own. Your Local Host will have plenty of suggestions and can help arrange the activities and excursions you desire. Perhaps take an excursion to the Boyne Valley, home of ancient burial grounds, and Newgrange, the UNESCO World Heritage Site dating to 3200 BC; visit the Guinness Storehouse and enjoy a beer; and wander through Grafton Street, Dublin's pedestrian area known for its cafés, shops, bars, and restaurants. The possibilities are endless!

And did we mention your Dublin sightseeing is private? In fact, between the sightseeing and guides we've arranged, the breakfast we've included, and the hotel we've booked, there is really nothing for you to do except sit back and enjoy this friendly and vibrant city. By handing over the logistics and legwork to Monograms, you will have more time and energy for the craic (fun).

Morning guided sightseeing takes you past St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the largest church in Ireland, along elegant Georgian squares, and statue-lined O’Connell Street. Finally, visit the Old Library at TRINITY COLLEGE, and see the famous 1,200-year-old Book of Kells. It is testimony to Dublin’s literary tradition, dating back over a thousand years, when monks would transcribe the Bible into beautiful manuscripts.
